Big Love 2015!

Big Love is returning to Akron on Saturday February 28th!

We are returning to the Musica Complex on Market St between High St and Main St downtown Akron.

All the festivities kick off at Noon and will be running til after midnight, covering Musica, Urban Eats, We Gallery, Uncorked, and Blu+, featuring music, yoga, food, community-building workshops, installation art, healing arts, zero waste focus, poetry, and more!

The event is free (though donations are greatly welcomed).

Big Love Schedule!

Celebrate our community's great music, art, and delicious vegan food! Join in and create art! Gain knowledge and awareness of ourselves and our community. Spring Garden Waldorf School and Afterlight Fitness will be on hand to provide kids and family activities. So bring the wee ones! We are aiming to be a zero waste event so feel free to bring your own cups and utensils. There are Healthy Living workshops in Urban Eats starting at 12:30pm. Yoga, dance and hug workshops are pared with bands and poetry in Uncorked throughout the day (please bring yoga mats). The WOMB will be creating Akron's Tree of Knowledge with all of you in the Green Room Space across the courtyard of Musica beginning at 1 pm. Guided meditation workshops and self reflection space in the nest up top of Uncorked's bar. We are transforming the space with art installations. Come be transformed! 


Love shines brightest when we are all apart of it. That is Big Love!

Non profits include The Way Of Mind and Body, a community centered on creating a safe space for humanness through culture, health and wellness and community organizing. The Virabration's Project promotes community health as a human and environmental right. The Love Initiative promotes creative non violence in the self, the community and the home.

Big Love on Feb 22nd!

Big Love in Akron!

Feb 22nd starting at Noon and running well into the night.
Bring your light and energy to Big Love! Big Love is an opportunity to gather and celebrate our community. We can celebrate our art, our music, our dance, our food, our spirits, and connection!

This community festival encourages collaboration and the ability to share our passion and compassion with each other.

Family-friendly and open to all! There will be live music, live art, food, poetry, yoga, meditation, creativity, kids' arts and crafts, vendors, poetry, hula hoops, and so much more!

We are aiming at this event being a Zero Waste event as well!

Performances by: Zach & the Bright Lights, Winslow, Emma Shepard, The Help,Acid CatsJovan Wilder and the Wild Things The Poplars, Diana Chittester,Todd V, Ursula Rauh, TM Gottl, and more! In addition to regular musical performances, there will also be some kirtan and chanting!

Spring Garden Waldorf School will be providing face painting and kids activities!

The WOMB is facilitating healthy living and community organizing workshops.

The Akron Shambhala Center will be facilitating meditations throughout the day.

Let us raise up some Big Love in our community!
